During this individually-tailored programme, you will also benefit from the support and guidance of a mentor.

As a Design, Mechanical & Electrical, Electrical or Civil Engineer, you will have responsibility for the management and development of a project lifecycle delivering £multi-million capital projects on time, to cost and to specification.

Yours will be a wide-ranging brief involving construction, installation, repair and maintenance of engineering works in EHV/HV/LV substations; scoping, costing, risk assessment, scheduling, resourcing and interfacing with colleagues in design, build, finance, programme management design, delivery and through to the completion; as well as supporting the project teams and key resources.

As a QS, you will manage and develop the commercial costs and sales on a particular contract or contracts, aiming to exceed performance targets and to comply with both Company and legislative standards.

As a Management trainee, you will join an 18 month programme taking on a series of challenging placements around the business within the different operational functions. You will be supporting the day-to-day running of a contract and will also take a lead role in projects to develop your skills. On completion of the programme you will have the opportunity to apply for a junior management position within the business.

Able to build relationships across all levels, you’ll have effective communication skills including the ability to make persuasive presentations to both small and large audiences.
