Safety is our number one priority and is our licence to operate.

Our goal of zero harm, encouraged by our industry-leading rolling AFR, drives everything we do. The focus of our safety culture is to help everyone understand why they behave as they do and how this affects their own safety and that of their colleagues. We are driving towards a culture in which everyone shares a collective responsibility for hazard identification and risk management. This is demonstrated by us being the first utility service provider to receive OHSAS 18001 accreditation and receiving year-on-year safety awards from the British Safety Council and RoSPA.

We ensure we have a trained and competent workforce and put people to work with the information they need to do their job safely. We are continuously driving down utility strikes and insist on open communication at all levels of the organisation. To achieve our goal of zero harm to anyone affected by our works, we have in place on-site safety monitoring, coaching and guidance to drive best practice. We are innovative in our thinking and utilise leading-edge technology and systems to constantly improve what we do.
