CASE STUDY: Through Bore Hydrant

Morrison Utility Services worked with Viking Johnson and Yorkshire Water to develop the idea and concept of the Through Bore Hydrant.  This is a fully compliant fire hydrant / washout unit delivering enhanced flow characteristics and enables the creation of an access port for new innovative solutions and techniques without excavation, significant highway disruption or interruption to customer supply.

The Through Bore Hydrant won the SBWWI Water Dragon's Innovation Award in 2009 and in 2010 was shortlisted for a Water Industry Achievement Award for Best Use Of An Existing Technology.
