Safety is our licence to operate. It has always been given top priority throughout our operations and nothing that we do is so important that we cannot find the time to do it safely.

People are at the heart of our business. We are committed to continually improving the safety and well-being of our employees while improving the overall performance of the business in all areas. A key focus for the new decade is to push business improvement further, delivering the highest level of safety performance.

Our Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) strategy challenges and empowers our employees to make a difference and raise their performance through behavioural change. We aim to embed a culture which fosters ownership and accountability, where working safely is managed as much by safe behaviour as enforced processes and procedures.

We treat all our employees with respect and encourage their development through annual appraisals and identification of training. We will continue to develop industry-leading, fully accredited, in-house training facilities and aim to be among the first to adopt industry-accredited training schemes.

We encourage all of our employees to balance their work and home life and take an active role in promoting well-being. Tools include our Occupational Health Screening programme and the dedicated Morrison Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) which is an impartial and confidential advice, information and support service for all employees.
